The Ice King is 1000-year-old man with blue skin, white eyes, a voluminous beard and a gold-and-ruby crown. He controls snow and ice, and can see into the spirit realm with his wizard eyes. He has a penguin army and writes fanfiction about Finn and Jake, the local heroes. (He also plays wicked drums.) He wants to marry a princess. Any princess.

He likes ninjas, computer games, and fanfiction. He tastes like loneliness.



Before the Mushroom War, the Ice King was an antiquarian named Simon Petrikov who once found a strange but beautiful crown. When he put it on, the crown made him see and do strange things -- strange enough to drive away his fiancee, Betty. He doesn't remember what he did. He doesn't remember being Simon, either.
